PHOENIX, AZ June 11, 2011– Symbius Medical a leading provider in home medical supplies to customers nationwide participated in the Laura B. Carrillo Breast Cancer Foundation’s 8th Annual Golf Tournament at the Tubac Golf Course in Tubac, AZ.

The tournament kicked off with a shot-gun start of four-person teams, followed by all the players and guests enjoying a wonderful lunch at the Stables Ranch Grille. Many guests opted to make a weekend out of the event by staying at the luxurious golf resort, and while shopping and touring the art galleries in the town of Tubac.

“This was a truly remarkable and inspiration golf tournament,” said Dwight Knox, President at Symbius Medical. “Our organization and its employees take great pride in supporting our communities through various charitable and philanthropic endeavors.”

The Laura B Carrillo Breast Cancer Foundation began on October 2004 when Laura, 36 lost her battle for life to a virulent form of breast cancer. Since her death, her husband Ralph and their two children along with several family members have tirelessly worked to memorialize Laura’s life by raising funds to fight the devastating and unpredictable disease. For the past seven years and with the help of a local grocer, family and friends have held annual golf tournaments to help raise funds to support the mission of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. The Annual Golf Tournaments proceeds have been directly donated, in Laura’s name, to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
