Symbius Medical is your national home medical supplier and regional home medical equipment provider dedicated to improving the quality of life for our customers by providing exceptional service, comprehensive education, and compassionate care for the communities we serve. As a company we support many local and national organizations through charitable contributions and donations. Each year many of our employees donate their time and money to support local agencies including food banks and school drives, cancer and ALS walks, Adopt a Family, the American Red Cross, Support Our Troops and much, much more.
The Bridgeway Health Solutions 5th Annual Disability Empowerment Center Health & Wellness Fair is an event Symbius supports annually. The event is held at the Disability Empowerment Center (DEC), a 62,000 square-foot universally designed, accessible and transit-oriented non-profit resources center serving the disability community in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area. A national model for accessible design and collaborative programming, the DEC is located in the heart of Phoenix, less than two and a half miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and situated conveniently on the Valley Metro light rail system.
Past fairs have offered multiple education and exhibition opportunities to the general public and healthcare professionals who are in search for answers to the complex questions surrounding chronic illnesses and disabilities. This year’s fair, taking place Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3, promises something for everyone, with educational presentations, fitness demonstrations, and an exposition of community partners. Raffle prizes will be awarded to lucky participants, and live music will be performed.
The Health & Wellness Fair is free to the general public, including consumers, families, healthcare professionals, and will be held at the Disability Empowerment Center of AZ Campus, 5025 E. Washington Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85034. For more information, call 602-256-2245 or visit www.abil.org/Wellness2014.
